About

Who builds Pickwick, and why.

An AI answering service for home-service shops, built by its founder in Houston, Texas, run on real lines, and priced on a page. This is the page that says the facts plainly.

The founder

From the person who built it.

Pickwick is built in Houston, Texas, by its founder.

The first line went live in 2026 at a heating and air shop, on its real number, with the shop's owner approving every booking from a phone.

If it ever says something to your customer that you would not say, we want to hear it the same day.

Nothing on this page is a customer's name or a number we did not measure.

The name

Why Pickwick.

Mr Pickwick, in Dickens, is the one who looks after everyone around him and never pretends to be cleverer than he is. A phone line should do the same.

Where

Houston, Texas.

Pickwick is built in Houston, Texas. It answers lines anywhere in the United States, and it is not a local service: your callers reach your shop's number, forwarded to a line that answers as your shop.

Principles

Four rules we keep.

They are on every page because they are the terms, not features.

Safety first

Gas, carbon monoxide, smoke or sparks get fixed words, said by the system: hang up, get everyone outside, call 911. Not a setting a shop can change, and tested against scripted hazard calls before every release.

Honest proof

No invented customers, testimonials, statistics or badges. Every number we publish is measured and dated. When a shop agrees to be named, you will see one name, with its own words.

Plain pricing

Three plans on one page: $149, $349 and $749 a month. No setup fee, fourteen days free, the overage rate printed on each card.

No lock-in

Month to month, thirty days' notice either way. You keep your number; forwarding is one code to switch off. Your recordings are kept as long as you choose and deleted on a nightly sweep.

What we do not do

Said here so nobody finds out on the line.

Not an emergency service

Pickwick prompts a caller to call 911 and flags your shop. It does not handle 911 calls and cannot guarantee it detects every hazard.

No diagnosis, no quotes it was not given

It books a technician for you to approve. It says only what you wrote down about your shop.

No booking without a person

The caller hears "penciled in". A person at your shop says yes.

Not for healthcare practices yet

We cannot yet sign the agreements patient information requires, so we do not sell to them.
