How to forward your business line to Pickwick

The codes for AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Spectrum and Comcast Business, the after-hours rules in RingCentral and Google Voice, and how to test it.

Your number stays your number. Pickwick gets its own line, and you forward to it after hours, when the line is busy, when nobody picks up, or always. Which kind of forwarding fits which shop is on the forwarding guide; this page is the codes, carrier by carrier.

In every code below, NUMBER is the ten-digit line Pickwick gave you. Dial from the line you are forwarding. Codes as of October 2026; carriers change them, and business accounts sometimes differ from consumer ones. If a code does nothing, the carrier's app or account page has the same switches.

RingCentral: forward after hours without a code

RingCentral has no star codes for this; it has rules. In the admin portal open the user or the company number, then Call handling. Set your business hours once. Under After hours, choose to forward to an external number and enter the Pickwick line. Under Work hours, add the Pickwick line as the last ring target so overflow goes there after your desk has rung. This is the cleanest setup of any carrier: it switches itself at closing time and back at opening.

Google Voice

Google Voice forwards only to numbers it has verified as linked phones, and verifying one means answering a code on that number. The Pickwick line answers with the agent, not with you, so verification does not complete on its own. Write to us before you set it up and we will do it with you. Google Voice for Google Workspace has business-hours rules of its own (Settings → Calls): forward outside hours to the verified line.

Test it before you leave it

  • Forward, then ring your own number from another phone.
  • Listen for the first thing said: "I'm an automated assistant, and this call is recorded." If you hear your old voicemail, the code did not take.
  • Say anything, hang up, and read the call back on the dashboard.
  • Dial the cancel code and ring again to prove you can switch back. Worst case, you are back to today.

Setting your hours, your fee, your service area and who approves comes first; until they are set the agent offers callbacks, which reads as broken. The checklist is on the first-week guide.
